New Gettysburg Museum & Visitor Center opens April 14

The new $125-million Museum & Visitor Center at the Gettysburg National Military Park opens at 8 am April 14. The center is located east of the "old" one and behind, rather than on, the Union line on Cemetery Ridge. “The new museum will better prepare visitors to walk the sacred ground of the Gettysburg battlefield and see it through the soldier’s eyes,” said John Latschar, superintendent of the park.
